Welcome the the KCSMA Media Center, the gateway to the resources and skills our students need to become independent, engaged, and enthusiastic users of ideas and information in the 21st century and beyond.
Students visit the Media Center with their class as part of the six-day Specials rotation. Depending on their grade, students will have storytime, introduction to basic library skills, or instruction in the use of print and on-line research materials. Time is allowed for selecting and checking out books.
Additionally, students are encouraged to visit the Media Center during morning carpool (after checking in with their homeroom teacher) and in the afternoons between 2:05 and 2:45. At this time they may check out books, conduct research, work on Orchard or school-approved educational websites, or work on projects using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Publisher.
